July 13, 2015
The HEC Montréal Chair in Energy Sector Management is pleased to announce a partnership with Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners, which will be adding its expertise and support to those of the Chair’s other nine partners: BMO, Boralex, Enbridge, Gaz Métro, Golder Associates, McCarthy Tétrault, Pétrolia, PwC and Valero.
This new agreement, along with the others, will help the Chair pursue its mission of advancing knowledge relating to energy issues from a sustainable development perspective, with the goal of optimizing energy systems and ensuring that we have adequate energy sources to meet our society’s needs.
“This new partnership between Brookfield Renewable and the Chair will help further the knowledge of the energy industry and the findings of university research,” said Chairholder Professor Pierre-Olivier Pineau. “It’s a natural alliance, in keeping with the mission of the Chair and its partners.”
“Brookfield Renewable is proud to support the Chair and to contribute its international perspective on the exploitation of renewable energy assets and energy marketing. We feel that this will help to expand and enhance the scope of the Chair’s work,” noted Nicolas Bossé, Senior Vice-President, Regulatory Affairs, Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners.
