Jacques Nantel honoured at the 2015 Flèches gala

Professor Jacques Nantel (Marketing) was named Personality of the Year at the 27th Flèches gala, on May 14 in Montreal, in recognition of his contribution to advancing relational practices in retail trade and electronic commerce in Quebec.
The annual gala organized by the Association du marketing relationnel rewards the top relational marketing projects and campaigns in Quebec and brings together key industry figures.
Congratulations to Professor Nantel, who in addition to his position as a Full Professor at HEC Montréal is Vice-President of Consumer Strategies and a member of the Board of Directors of Centraide of Greater Montreal, Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, the HEC Montréal Foundation and the Organisme d’autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ). He holds a DBA from Indiana University and an MSc in Administration from HEC Montréal, began teaching at the School in 1980 and was promoted to Full Professor in 1994.
Over the course of his career, he has held many important positions at HEC Montréal, including Secretary General, Director of the Marketing Department, Director of Academic Programs, holder of the Omer DeSerres Chair of Retailing and the first holder and founder of the RBC Financial Group Chair in Electronic Commerce. Among other distinctions, he received the Grand Prize for Teaching Excellence from HEC Montréal in 1994, the Leadership in Management Education award from the National Post in 2000, and the Personality of the Year award from the Association marketing de Montréal in 2002. In 2006, the Université de Montréal recognized him as a Distinguished Alumnus.
