Johanne Brunet appointed Chair of the SAQ Board of Directors

Full Professor Johanne Brunet (Marketing) has just been appointed Chair of the SAQ’s Board of Directors by the Quebec government. As such, she will play a key role in the corporation and the Quebec economy.
Professor Brunet (CPA, CGA, MBA 1986, PhD from the University of Warwick) is the Director of the Marketing Department, an associate member of the Carmelle and Rémi Marcoux Chair in Arts Management and Co-Director of the “Catalytic Mindset” module of the EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal. She is particularly interested in cultural industries, and specializes in international marketing, innovation and creativity, management performance measurement and international strategic alliances.
Professor Brunet sits on numerous other boards of directors in Canada and England, including those of the Société d’habitation et de développement de Montréal (Chair) and the Théâtre du Rideau Vert (Treasurer). In 2013, she was one of four finalists for the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) Business Professor of the Year Award, a highly prestigious competition recognizing excellence in management education, held by the EIU, a subsidiary of The Economist, in co-operation with the Hult International Business School.
