HEC Montréal launches a new Certificate in Innovation Management
September 1, 2015
In response to market needs and drawing on its own expertise, including its multidisciplinary Mosaic (management of innovation and creativity) centre, HEC Montréal is launching a Certificate in Innovation Management (all courses in French).
The new program, to be offered starting in winter 2016, will let students develop their ability to improve the innovation process as a way of enhancing their creativity, efficiency and productivity, based on structured coaching methods. This practical training in Montreal’s creative and innovative ecosystem is inspired by the latest approaches in creative techniques, idea management, product development and project management.
“Innovation and creativity generate value for the business and the organization,” emphasizes Associate Professor Laurent Simon, who is in charge of the program. “Our goal with this new certificate is to help students boost their creative potential, so that they can contribute to the success of their organization and become catalysts and players in innovation for economic and social development.”
This addition means that HEC Montréal now offers 26 certificates in all fields of management. The School’s certificate programs are intended to provide training to complement work experience or as professional development for people looking to hone their knowledge in a given field. They offer excellent flexibility, and are up to date, relevant and practical.
