An award of outstanding achievement for EDUlib
June 11, 2015
HEC Montréal won the 2015 award of outstanding achievement (“Institutional” category) from the Association canadienne d’éducation des adultes des universités de langue française (ACDEAULF) for its EDUlib initiative, tying with the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. The award was presented to Jean Talbot, Director of the Learning and Teaching Innovation Centre and Full Professor (Information Technologies), at the ACDEAULF 50th anniversary gala in Montreal on June 9.
With EDUlib, HEC Montréal is striving to make business education more widely accessible by offering free online courses to everyone around the world. EDUlib was an immediate hit right from the start, with students in 184 different countries.
In May 2015, Polytechnique Montréal and the Université de Montréal joined forces with HEC Montréal to expand the free online courses available on this platform. EDUlib is part of the services offered to the community by these three institutions, just as their libraries are open to all.
