Third renewal of EQUIS accreditation places HEC Montréal among the world’s top business schools
June 17, 2015
For the third time, HEC Montréal has just had its EQUIS accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) renewed for a five-year period. With the success of this extremely demanding and selective continuous improvement process, the School is again positioning itself as one of the world’s best business schools, reflecting the excellence of the education it offers.
The EFMD accreditation process focuses on many different aspects of applicant teaching institutions. The accreditation process for HEC Montréal covered all the School’s study programs, from the undergraduate to the postgraduate level, along with other fields of activity ranging from research to international activities, executive education, community outreach and the mobilization of staff members.
“This third renewal of our EQUIS accreditation is proof of our constant efforts and the way the School devotes all its resources to reaching and even surpassing the highest quality standards. HEC Montréal has been among the world’s top business schools for over 15 years now, and we are very proud of that achievement,” said HEC Montréal Director Michel Patry.
HEC Montréal first obtained EQUIS accreditation in 1999, and it was renewed in 2004 and 2010. The School also holds AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditations.
This renewal allows HEC Montréal to remain part of a small and select group of fewer than 70 business schools worldwide, and only two in Canada, that hold this three-fold mark of prestigious recognition in university management education offered by EQUIS, AACSB International and AMBA accreditation.
