UTD ranks HEC Montréal in the top 100 for research publications

HEC Montréal is one of the world’s 100 most prolific business schools for the number of research publications, according to the Top 100 Business School Research Rankings by the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), updated in April. The School ranks 74^th in North America and 7^th in Canada. The results are based on publications in the past five years, in a sample of 24 leading scientific journals* in major business disciplines.

UTD has maintained a database since 1990 containing the names and affiliations of all the authors who publish in any of the 24 journals in the sample. For each publication by an author affiliated with a school, that school is credited with 1 point. If a publication has several authors with different affiliations, each school receives a fraction of a point. This method allows UTD to assess the research contributions of different business schools around the world.
