Biography

A Professor of political economics at HEC Montréal (1910–1939), he taught courses in political economics, public finance, trade policy and statistics. He became the first officially recognized economist in higher education in Quebec, and devoted himself to advancing and promoting the social sciences, economics and political science. In 1920, he became Secretary General of the Université de Montréal and created its School of social, economic and political sciences.
