An HEC Montréal alumnus (1945), his career as a chartered accountant was marked by brilliant accomplishments, including the introduction of a Francophone component to the firm of Clarkson Gordon, which became Caron Bélanger Ernst & Young, today EY. Over the course of his career, he promoted and advanced the chartered accountancy profession and chaired the Board of the Corporation de l’École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal (1972–1981).
