Description
Through a simulation, groups of students manage a profitable and responsible organization by strategically mobilizing information technologies. From management software to AI automation, participants will develop an understanding of the impact of technological choices in management.
As part of this simulation called ERPsim, student teams manage an organization in a competitive market using a real integrated management software package (ERP) system to capture their business decision. As the simulation evolves, new information technologies become accessible to the teams: ERP, dashboards, artificial intelligence tools, and organizational communication tools. Students will use these technologies to improve the efficiency of their business processes and develop their analytical skills. The simulation thus creates a framework for discussing the concepts and challenges related to the implementation and effective use of technologies in organizations, as well as the role of managers in the transformation of organizations based on these technologies.
