Mathematics and Statistics Help Centre

The Mathematics and Statistics Help Centre offers individual help for mathematical prerequisites and basic statistical methods taught in HEC Montréal's courses. It also offers support in getting started with data analysis using current software for a variety of student needs: courses, supervised projects, dissertations.

Our workshops at the beginning of the semester provide early support for these prerequisites. If your need is for specific MATH course sessions, please first ask for support to your professor or teaching assistant (you will find their consultation schedule in Zone Cours). Individual support from MSHC would be your plan B.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Appointments are booked via the library's Libcal platform.

To reserve a time slot, first select the location (online, Édifice Côte-Sainte-Catherine or Édifice Hélène-Desmarais).

Look for CAMS in the Avec section at the bottom of the page and reserve a session (1 or 2 times 45 minutes) in Michel Keoula's schedule.

For in-person sessions, please ask a staff member at the Library's circulation desk on arrival. The Library is located on the 2nd floor of the Côte-Sainte-Catherine building (Université de Montréal metro) and on the 5th floor of the Hélène-Desmarais building (Square Victoria-OACI metro).

You can also request a special schedule by writing a short message to the Mathematics and Statistics Help Center at cams@hec.ca.
