November 9, 2015
HEC Montréal announces the free online courses (in French) for this fall on EDUlib today.
Starting immediately, the Introduction au marketing course given by professors Johanne Brunet and Yannik St-James (Marketing) is available online. Students can sign up anytime, and take the course at their own pace.
As of November 16, the Gestion des conflits course will also be offered online for students to take at their own pace. Given by Full Professor Jean Poitras (Human Resources Management), the course presents an analytical and response model to help defuse organizational conflicts, with a number of specific strategies.
Lastly, the Comprendre les états financiers course, given by Full Professor Louise Martel (Accounting Studies), will start on November 30 and end on January 31, 2016. It will show students how to properly read financial statements and use basic analytical tools. They’ll come away with a new understanding of the balance sheet, the comprehensive income statement, the statement of shareholders’ equity and the cash flow statement.
Anyone can enrol for free at www.edulib.org. The website also outlines the objectives of the courses offered and profiles of the professors giving them.
The course line-up for the winter term will be announced in February.
