The HEC Montréal Pôle médias and TV5 Québec Canada are joining forces to create a TV5 research group on francophone media, which will study the challenges and issues facing French-language media in Canada.
“The HEC Montréal Pôle médias is looking to expand its research and training activities relating to francophone media. This partnership is in line with our goal of providing graduate students with an opportunity to contribute to the work of the research group,” explains Sylvain Lafrance, Director of the Pôle médias.
In addition to its research activities, the Group will produce a strategic monitoring report on French-speaking Canada, and develop a network with francophone partner universities across Canada and later worldwide.
“One of the goals of the program is to attract new partners, so as to put together an international research group that can answer the business-related questions arising from our situation here in Canada and throughout the global French-language community,” says TV5 Québec Canada President and CEO Marie-Philippe Bouchard.
The HEC Montréal Pôle médias, created in 2012, is devoted to research, training and knowledge transfer in the media and entertainment industries.
