HEC Montréal part of a new MBA in renewable energies from MDI Algiers
February 26, 2019
HEC Montréal is putting its expertise in sustainable development to use for students in a new program at the MDI Algiers Business School, an MBA in renewable energies.
As part of the program, to be launched in the coming months, HEC Montréal professors will travel to Algiers to teach four intensive seminars.
Graduates from this MBA program will receive an attestation of participation from HEC Montréal, as well as their diploma from MDI Algiers.
The two schools signed an agreement for this purpose in late January, when HEC Montréal Director Michel Patry, Secretary General Federico Pasin and the Director of International Activities and Student Mobility, Hassan Taghvaï, were in Algeria.
A continuing partnership
This new agreement complements many others and furthers the partnership between the two schools. HEC Montréal and MDI Algiers have joined forces to offer several programs, including the Essentials of MBA, launched in 2013. A BBA 2+2 has also been offered since fall 2014 and a specialized graduate diploma (DESS) in management, in hybrid format, since fall 2016.
A 6th cohort learns MBA essentials
While visiting their partner in Algiers, the HEC Montréal executives took the opportunity to present attestations to the participants in the 6th cohort of the Essentials of MBA program, consisting of 25 managers from the HASNAOUI and ENIE groups in Algeria.
The event was also the perfect time to confirm the launch of two new cohorts of this program in 2019, in Sidi-Bel-Abbès and Algiers.
