A PhD graduate honoured for her excellent dissertation

HEC Montréal PhD graduate Maricela C. Arellano Caro has just received a “Highly Commended” mention in the Operations & Production Management category of the 2018 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards.
These prestigious international awards, saluting excellence in research, are co-run by Emerald Group Publishing Ltd. and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an international network with nearly 900 members from the business, academic, consulting and public sector communities.
Ms. Arellano’s dissertation is entitled Un regard néo-institutionnel et sociocognitif de l’adoption de pratiques dans un site de production (Neo-institutional and socio-cognitive approaches of practice adoption in production sites). She earned her PhD in Administration in 2017, under the supervision of professors Silvia Ponce and Louis Hébert.
After completing her degree, she began working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics, of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
