Three of the six women chosen for the 10th edition of National Bank’s Women in Financial Markets Internship Program are HEC Montréal students.
Véronique Dagenais, in the Master of Science (MSc) – Applied Financial Economics program, Melissa Khirdine, in the Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA), and Koralie Levac-Séguin, in the MSc – Finance, each received a $5,000 prize and the possibility of starting their careers at the National Bank. The bank will also match them up with a mentor from its Financial Markets group.
National Bank launched this internship program close to a decade ago, with the objective of increasing the number of women in this field.
“For the past 10 years, we've been giving talented young women the opportunity to start their careers off on the right foot,” says Laurent Ferreira, Executive Vice-President and Co-Head – Financial Markets at National Bank. “Our goal is to nurture their passion and support them in this pivotal moment in their professional lives. In fact, many past years’ winners are still with us today!"
