HEC Montréal and ENAP offer a new specialized graduate diploma
May 5, 2020
A new specialized graduate diploma in management (DESS) – private and public sectors will be available starting in fall 2020. The program will be offered jointly by HEC Montréal and the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP), in French.
This graduate diploma, the only one of its kind in Quebec, is designed for professionals looking to improve their knowledge of management issues specific to both private firms and public administrations. It will be particularly useful for students wishing to develop collaborative projects between public-sector organizations and private or social enterprises.
The two universities signed an agreement in December 2018 leading to the creation of a joint short graduate program worth 15 credits. The new DESS, worth 30 credits, is the logical next step. In fact, there is a bridge between the two programs to allow those who have completed the short graduate program to continue their studies and earn a DESS, under certain conditions.
“This new DES combines the respective strengths of our two institutions, making it wonderfully adapted to today’s world. Our two schools had already laid the groundwork for collaboration, and I am delighted to see us building on these foundations,” said HEC Montréal Director Federico Pasin.
“I am pleased to offer this program that will meet students’ need to better understand the issues specific to the two sectors, and give them the tools to be more effective. Working with HEC Montréal will help promote our two institutions’ expertise both in Quebec and worldwide,” added ENAP Executive Director Guy Laforest.
Candidates may apply as of now. While there is no deadline for applications, acceptance may be deferred to the following term if classes fill up.
