Six Masters programs in the QS rankings
Business Masters and Global MBA Rankings 2021

Several Masters programs offered by HEC Montréal are included in the 2021 global rankings of the British organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS):
- MBA: 9th in Canada and 141st-150th in the world – QS Global MBA Rankings
- Master of Science (MSc) – Global Supply Chain Management: 18th in the world – Masters in Supply Chain Management Rankings
- MSc – Marketing [in French only]: 51st-75th in the world – Masters in Marketing Rankings
- MSc – Data Science and Business Analytics: 51st-75th in the world – Masters in Business Analytics Rankings
- MSc – Finance: 75th in the world – Masters in Finance Rankings
- MSc – International Business: 76th in the world – Masters in Management Rankings
Each ranking is based on the following weighting and criteria:
- Employability (30% to 40%, depending on the program) – survey of tens of thousands of employers worldwide from all sectors and industries over the past 5 years; employment rate of recent graduates;
- Return on Investment (20%) – data on post-MBA salaries; salary increase assumptions;
- Entrepreneurship (MBA only) and Alumni Outcomes (15% or 20%, depending on the program) – QS database of thousands of highly influential employers, industry leaders and award-winning professionals, as well as professionals from all levels; rate of graduates setting up their own companies 3 months after graduation (MBA only);
- Thought Leadership (15% or 20%, depending on the program) – survey of 200,000 professors from 60 countries; impact of research in Scopus; percentage of faculty members with a PhD;
- Diversity (10%) – origin and gender of faculty and students.
