2021 HEC Montréal Centraide campaign surpasses its goal
December 17, 2021
The 2021 HEC Montréal Centraide campaign, from November 15 to 26, raised a total of $173,000, far exceeding its initial objective of $140,000.
The School’s annual fundraising campaign is intended to support Centraide in its mission, helping thousands of people in Greater Montréal. The co-Chairs of this year’s campaign were Éric Bélanger, Analyst – Scholarships and Programs, with Student Services, and Claudia Rebolledo, Professor in the Department of Logistics and Operations Management.
“The HEC Montréal community has once again shown its concern for the most vulnerable people in our society. Together, to help them, we reached and even exceeded our objective. Éric and I want to express our sincere gratitude to every donor and the whole team of ambassadors and volunteers. On behalf of all those helped by Centraide of Greater Montreal, THANK YOU!” said Professor Rebolledo.
This year, 274 employees gave through source deductions, up slightly from 2020. The Leaders’ Circle, of donors giving over $1,200 per year, reached 53 members, a substantial increase from last year.
Funds were also raised through benefit activities, including a spaghetti lunch and the show on December 1. The campaign featured free activities to bring people together, like handing out coffee at building entrances, and the 140,000 steps per day challenge for the whole School community.
