2nd place in Rotterdam for the BBA team from HEC Montréal
RSM Star Case Competition
April 21, 2022
The team that represented HEC Montréal at the RSM STAR Case Competition performed brilliantly by finishing 2nd overall. Participating teams had to solve two real-life business cases for 2 companies. These activities consisted of a 12-hour case – this first event was won by HEC Montréal – and a 24-hour case.
Our delegation was made up of Rose Brunelle, Cynthia Chabot, Guillaume Fraticelli and Ru-Jing Li, from the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. Ru-Jing Li also received further plaudits for winning the event’s “best presenter” award.
The RSM STAR Case Competition is held annually in the Netherlands and is organized by the Rotterdam School of Management. This year, it brought together 16 teams from some of the top business schools worldwide and took place from April 7 to 14 in Rotterdam.
Jean-François St-Pierre, from the University Competitions Service (SCU) accompanied our delegation as a coach.
The Service would like to thank the following people for their help and advice to the team during its preparation: Anne Bourhis (topic: employer branding) as well as Jean-Michel Champagne, Nadia Karina Ponce Morales, Kaileigh Hamilton-Browne, and Clarisse Broucke (topic: sustainable development). The SCU would also like to acknowledge the financial support provided by the HEC Montréal Alumni Association.
