Georges Dionne receives an award for research excellence
2022 Harris Schlesinger Prize

Georges Dionne, a Full Professor in the HEC Montréal Department of Finance, has won the 2022 Harris Schlesinger Prize in recognition of an exceptional article published in the previous 10 years in the Geneva Risk and Insurance Review.
This annual distinction from the European Group of Risk & Insurance Economists (EGRIE) was awarded jointly to Georges Dionne and Casey Rothschild, of Wellesley College, for their article Economic Effects of Risk Classification Bans, published in September 2014.
The Prize is dedicated to the memory of Harris Schlesinger, a founding Editor of the Geneva Risk and Insurance Review and past President of EGRIE. The winners receive a cash amount of 2,000 euros.
The Prize was presented to the winners at the 49th EGRIE Seminar, on September 19, in Vienna.
