HEC Montréal ranked 2nd best business school in Canada by Bloomberg Businessweek

This year, HEC Montréal has yet again placed 2nd among Canada’s top business schools for its MBA program in Bloomberg Businessweek’s Best B-Schools ranking. This is the second consecutive year that the university is the runner-up for the region, according to the U.S.-based magazine.
This ranking considers full-time MBA programs in 4 regions of the world (United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia-Pacific).
Four evaluation criteria are considered:
- Compensation (36.9%): salary after graduation, income after a few years, placement rate after 3 months, and bonuses
- Learning (25.2%): Practical applications of the program, emphasis on innovation, problem solving and strategic thinking, support from instructors, class size, and collaboration
- Networking (24.1%): quality of networks and interaction with other alumni, with the student community and employers, management services, and brand power from the recruiter viewpoint
- Entrepreneurship (13.8%): teaching, quality of entrepreneurship, and development skills and drive in this area.
HEC Montréal’s strongest performance was for the Learning and Entrepreneurship criteria, for which it ranked 1st in the country.
Just 117 schools worldwide appear in this ranking. The data came from surveys of more than 18,500 students, alumni, and recruiters, in addition to data provided by the institutions themselves.
