HEC Montréal receives AMBA accreditation renewal
August 24, 2022
For the 4th time since 2002, the Association of MBAs in the United Kingdom has granted its accreditation to HEC Montréal, once again recognizing its excellence as an academic institution offering an MBA program.
This renewal is valid for a period of 5 years.
HEC Montréal is the only Quebec university to hold this distinction. In Canada, only 2 other business schools hold it, among a group of 260 institutions worldwide, in over 75 countries.
HEC Montréal holds, in addition to the AMBA accreditation, the 2 other most prestigious international recognition marks for university business education, namely AACSB International and EQUIS.
A very small number of business schools in the world – less than 1% – have this triple accreditation.
A rigorous and selective process
The Association of MBAs conducts a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation process before awarding the renewal of AMBA accreditation. A wide range of aspects related to the MBA programs and the institutions that offer them are examined. These include the admission process, course content, interaction between faculty and students, the student cohort experience and quality, the reputation of the School, its faculty and programs, assessment criteria, learning outcomes, and graduate development and influence.
