HEC Montréal will host the 90th Acfas convention
May 16, 2022
Scheduled to take place from May 8 to 12, 2023, the 90th edition of the Acfas convention will be held in part on the HEC Montréal campus. The School proudly announced that next year, it’ll host this important Canadian scientific event, in collaboration with Université de Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal.
We also wish to highlight the fact that Jean-Pierre Dupuis, professor in our Department of Management, acts as co-president of the event’s scientific committee.
The theme of the convention will be “100 years of knowledge for a sustainable world” – in celebration of the centenary of the organization. The chosen theme also conveys the importance of university research in addressing the complex issues of today’s society.
Previously known as the Association canadienne-française pour l’avancement des sciences, Acfas was founded in 1923. Its mission is to promote scientific activities, propel research, and disseminate knowledge in French. Acfas is a non-profit organization that represents all research fields.
