Ari Van Assche, next Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Business Policy

The Executive Board of the Academy of International Business (AIB) has selected Ari Van Assche, Professor of International Business at HEC Montréal, to serve as the next Editor-in-Chief of one of its publications, the Journal of International Business Policy (JIBP).
Professor Van Assche will succeed this scientific journal’s founding Editor-in-Chief, Sarianna Lundan. Ari Van Assche has served as JIBP’s Deputy Editor till date. He will officially take over his new role on January 1, 2024.
Launched in 2016, the JIBP is the principal outlet for theoretical and empirical research in all areas of policy that relate to international business. In less than 10 years of existence, it has established itself as one of the most influential and relevant academic journals of international business.

In addition to his responsibilities at HEC Montréal and at the JIBP, Ari Van Assche is also Director of the International Institute for Economic Diplomacy, Fellow-in-Residence at the CD Howe Institute, and Research Fellow, Center for Interuniversity Research and Analysis of Organizations (CIRANO).
Since receiving the Alan Rugman Memorial Visiting Scholar Fellowship, he has also become a visiting scholar at the University of Reading, UK. He also acts as a consultant to several international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank, OECD, and World Bank.
