Carabins crowned champions of Canadian university football

The Vanier Cup, which is the most prestigious honour in Canadian university football was won last Saturday in Kingston by the Montréal Carabins, in front of a crowd of nearly 8,000 spectators mostly in blue.
This 16-9 victory against the British Columbia Thunderbirds concludes the outstanding season of the Montréal university team which won the second Vanier Cup in its history.
This achievement is yet another triumph in Canada for the Carabins, who already possess three national titles won by:
- The men’s football team (2014)
- The women’s hockey team (2013)
- The men’s volleyball team (1970)
Till date, Université de Montréal has won over a hundred provincial and national banners and championships.
