Discovering organizational maturity in project management
Launch of a book co-edited by Professor Maude Brunet

A multidisciplinary team comprising Professor Maude Brunet, Benoît Lalonde (GPBL Inc.), Alejandro Romero-Torres and Monique Aubry (UQAM’s School of Management [ESG UQAM]) has just launched La maturité en gestion de projet – Améliorer la performance organisationnelle*.
This book helps managers, executives, specialists, and student cohorts in project management to become familiar with the notion of maturity, and to also develop skills in this area.
The aim is to encourage organizations to improve their performance in a context where there is an anticipated need for major changes.
“Since I collaborated with this very team on several action research mandates (evaluation and intervention), it was natural for us to document our practices and general findings in connection with organizational maturity in project management,” highlights Professor Brunet. “Organizations that do whatever it takes are usually able to improve their performance, become better prepared to deliver their projects, and generate value.”
ABOUT Maude Brunet
Maude Brunet is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal. Her current research focuses on governance and innovation in megaprojects, public infrastructure projects, and collaborative methods in construction.
She has a PhD in administration from UQAM, and over 15 years of experience in project management as a teacher, researcher, consultant, board member for PMI Montréal and speaker. A member of Pôle santé and Mosaic – Pôle créativité et innovation HEC Montréal, she has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP®) since 2010. She has published in several major journals and notably won the School’s François-Albert-Angers Award in 2022 for La gestion de projets au Québec : des cas pour illustrer une expertise en croissance co-edited with Alejandro Romero-Torres.
