Guy Paré elected fellow of IAHSI

Professor Guy Paré has been inducted as a Fellow of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (IAHSI). He received this honor on July 9 at the MedInfo 2023 congress, which took place in Australia.
IAHSI was established in 2017 by the International Medical Informatics Association, and its goal is to recognize substantial achievements in medical informatics, and to promote the dissemination of knowledge and best practices, foster new ideas, and encourage worldwide collaboration and sharing of expertise and resources in this disciplinary field. This academy has 240 Fellows to date, including 3 from Canada.
About Guy Paré
With a PhD in Business Administration from Florida International University and an MSc in Administration from HEC Montréal, Guy Paré is a Professor in the Department of Information Technologies, Director of the PhD in Administration program and Holder of the Research Chair in Digital Health. As a digital health specialist for over 25 years, he has authored more than 130 articles in scientific journals.
He was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 2012, and is ranked the 5th most influential scientist worldwide in the field of medical informatics, according to a ranking published by Stanford University in 2022. He also received the 2020 Pierre-Laurin Research Award and the 2019 Esdras-Minville Award from the School.
