November 7, 2023
The HEC Montréal delegation won the silver medal in the Championship Final of the Rotterdam/Carleton International Case Competition which was held in Ottawa on October 27 this year.
The four BBA students, Alice Gravel-Chouinard, Amélie Haon, Etienne Bureau and Corentin Guichard were ranked among the six best teams at the end of the first three rounds, thanks to the quality of their presentations. They ended the week behind Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada), with a well-deserved second place. The judges also awarded Alice Gravel-Chouinard with the title of best individual presenter in the competition.
This year, the international competition, which was co-organized by Rotterdam University (The Netherlands) and Carleton University (Canada), brought together 16 undergraduate-level university teams from 10 different countries. The four rounds of competition presented real cases, with challenges that required ethical, sustainable, and innovative solutions.
The University Competitions Service would like to thank the HEC Montréal Alumni Association for its generous financial contribution. It also acknowledges Eric L’Heureux, Nicolas Richard and Alexis Garneau, the outstanding coaches who are helping the team prepare for the next Jeux du commerce, as well as Céline Gemmel, their appointed coach for the RO/CA competition.
