HEC Montréal receives prestigious AACSB accreditation again

For the 5th consecutive time, AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business has granted its accreditation to HEC Montréal for the overall quality of its university business education.
AACSB – Business Accreditation is renewed for a period of 5 years.
Acquisition and renewal of AACSB accreditation are both based on a rigorous process that includes the production of a highly detailed report and a peer review visit. Between each renewal, the School must undertake to follow AACSB’s recommendations, in order to achieve its standards of excellence.
The Association attaches particular importance to the high quality of study programs, faculty qualifications, relevance of research, and its societal impact.
HEC Montréal cleared this latest evaluation with flying colours, with the review committee having concluded that the School met all AACSB standards of excellence.
In its report, AACSB stated: “The School commitment to the teaching and learning environment is exemplary (…). Research engagement with external stakeholders is genuine and broad. One example is in the field of AI. A second is in Indigenous programming.”
Founded in 1916, AACSB is the oldest accrediting body for business schools. Fewer than 1,000 institutions worldwide hold AACSB accreditation.
HEC Montréal is also one of the very few schools—less than 1% worldwide—that hold the 3 most prestigious accreditations for university business education, namely AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.
