TLN 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians 2023
December 18, 2023
Professor Luis Cisneros from the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation has been included in the 15th edition of the annual TLN 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians 2023 ranking for his outstanding contribution to his field.
Besides being the first HEC Montréal professor to be selected in this list, he is also the only winner from Quebec this year. McGill University professors Mario Bunge and Claudio Cuello were award recipients in 2011.
“I think it's important to recognize the cultural, economic, and social contributions of new Canadians. For this, as a promoter of diversity and inclusion in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, I am both honored and deeply touched to have won this award, which celebrates the significant achievements and influence of 10 Hispanic Canadian personalities in their respective fields.”
A prestigious selection across the country
TLN received dozens of applications this year and nearly 50 were selected for evaluation. These were further shortlisted to 20 finalists by the jury, which comprises past winners as well as representatives from the following organizations:

- Toronto Star
- CBC
- Canadian Council for the Americas
- Canadian Aboriginal & Minority Supplier Council
