QS Rankings 2024: UdeM and its affiliated schools among the best in the world

The Université de Montréal and its affiliated schools, HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal feature once again among the 150 best universities in the world, ranking #141 in the QS World University Rankings 2024 and #7 in Canada.
This year, three new metrics have been introduced to assess academic performance:
- Sustainability;
- Employment Outcomes;
- International Research Network.
These indicators better reflect the current priorities of students and higher education institutions. Other ranking criteria include: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio.
The Université de Montréal has particularly distinguished itself in terms of sustainable development and academic reputation, ranking 50th and 136th respectively in the world and 5th in Canada. In terms of faculty/student ratio, the Université de Montréal is ranked 154th on the list and 2nd in Canada.
For this 20th edition, nearly 3,000 institutions were assessed and 1,503 were selected and ranked by the British organization QS (Quacquarelli Symonds).
