UdeM and its affiliated schools among the world’s best in business and economics
Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024

The Université de Montréal (UdeM) and its affiliated schools are still among the world’s best academic institutions that offer management programs. According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 by subject (Business and Economics) they are ranked 72nd worldwide*, moving up five places from last year. This now puts them in the third spot on the podium in Canada, which is one higher than their ranking in 2023.
This British magazine’s prestigious ranking evaluated 909 universities for the Business and Economics sector, according to several criteria grouped into five main categories:
- Teaching and learning environment – 30.4%
- Research – 31.6%
- Citations (from Scopus) – 25%
- International outlook – 9%
- Industry income (including patents) – 4%
UdeM’s performance is particularly strong in terms of research, international outlook, and industry income.
