AI expertise for enhanced MBA training

HEC Montréal’s MBA program and the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO) have entered into a partnership to refine the training of MBA students with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This agreement stipulates that each year, students from this program will be given opportunities to carry out consultation projects in Quebec companies that focus on AI in their growth strategy.
This project, which is offered at the end of the MBA program at HEC Montréal, requires students in teams of 4 or 5 to carry out a mandate regarding the management of a business. It lasts between 5 to 8 weeks and takes place in a company under the supervision of a teacher from the program.
This partnership will result in 45 consultation projects being carried out over a period of 3 years in IVADO-powered companies that wish to benefit from the management advice and valuable professional know-how of aspiring executives who have just completed their training at HEC Montréal.
It is also a unique opportunity for MBA students to apply their recently acquired knowledge in technological environments where AI plays a strategic role and thereby gain some form of specialization in this field.

About IVADO
IVADO is an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral consortium for research, training and knowledge mobilization in AI. Led by Université de Montréal with four university partners (Polytechnique Montréal, HEC Montréal, Université Laval and McGill University), IVADO brings together research centres, government bodies and industry members. It aims to co-build ambitious cross-sectoral initiatives with the goal of fostering a paradigm shift for AI and its adoption.
