Ari Van Assche, Best Reviewer at the Journal of International Business Studies

Professor Ari Van Assche from the Department of International Business has been named Best Reviewer by the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS).

Ari Van Assche has been collaborating with JIBS since 2015, primarily as a member of the editorial review board. His role involves reviewing and commenting on manuscripts submitted by other researchers who would like to get their paper published in the journal.

Mr. Van Assche’s dedication to the journal, which was reflected in the rigor and quality of his reviews over the past year, was the reason for this honor.

The prestigious academic journal had three main selection criteria:

The award will be presented to Professor Van Assche at the Academy of International Business Conference (AIB 2024), which will take place from July 2 to 6 in Seoul, South Korea.

 

About Ari Van Assche

In addition to his responsibilities at HEC Montréal, Ari Van Assche is Co-Director of the International Institute for Economic Diplomacy, Fellow-in-Residence at the CD Howe Institute, Guest Professor at the University of Leeds (United Kingdom) and Research Fellow at the Center for Interuniversity Research and Analysis of Organizations (CIRANO). He is a Fellow at the AIB as well as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Business Policy, one of AIB’s publications.

He also acts as a consultant to several international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, and the World Bank. He is a member of the editorial review board of several prestigious journals, with a PhD in Economics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a master’s degree in Sinology from KU Leuven (Belgium).
