The Canadian Tax Foundation salutes the academic excellence of two HEC Montréal students

Two students from the MA in Law – Tax option program, which is offered jointly with the Faculty of Law at Université de Montréal, received the MTax Award of the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF), last December.
Luca Teolis was the winner of 2022, while Pouyan Zabihian was the winner of 2023.
This $2,000 award is granted to the student who has obtained the highest cumulative average in their cohort.

Luca Teolis holds a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from Université de Montréal and a master’s degree in law (LLM) – Tax option from HEC Montréal. He is a tax lawyer at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP and has been a member of the Bar of Quebec since 2020
About Pouyan Zabihian
Pouyan Zabihian holds a double bachelor’s degree in civil law and common law (BCL/JD) with a minor in economics from McGill University as well as a master’s degree in law (LLM) – Tax option from HEC Montréal. He is currently a tax lawyer at Gowling WLG and has been a member of the Bar of Quebec since 2023.
