Dania is a PhD student in marketing research. She has been actively involved for several years in combating domestic violence against women and children, something which she herself has experienced.

She has participated in nearly twenty local and national reports and television broadcasts to raise public awareness on femicide.

The PhD student has also published several articles in newsletters for members of the Association des Familles de Personnes Assassinées ou Disparues (AFPAD), and in which she shared her academic successes, thereby encouraging victims to continue their studies and remain hopeful for the future.

Dania has had a remarkable academic trajectory. In addition to having earned a CGPA of 3.91/4.3 for her Master’s degree and 4/4.3 for her PhD, she is the recipient of several awards and academic excellence scholarships, including a Best Master’s Award and three excellence scholarships from the Arbour Foundation. She is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honour Society, and the Golden Key International Honour Society.

“Our future is in good hands, especially with people like you,” stated Manon Jeannotte, the second woman and first indigenous one to hold the title of Lieutenant Governor, during the presentation of the medal. Dania said she was deeply touched by the words of encouragement from the former director of the First Nations Executive Education at HEC Montréal, and inspired to follow in her footsteps and carve out an outstanding future for herself.
