Guy Paré receives award for teaching excellence

The 2024 Jean Guertin Award for Teaching Excellence was presented to Guy Paré for his outstanding teaching contribution throughout his career.
Guy Paré is a Full Professor in the Department of Information Technologies. He began his teaching career at HEC Montréal in 1990 as a lecturer and research associate. He became an Assistant Professor in 1994.
Versatility and Pursuit of Excellence
In nearly 35 years, he has taught 16 different courses in five academic programs (Certificate, BBA, DESS, Master of Science in Administration [MSc] and PhD). The exceptional quality of Guy Paré’s evaluations proves that he is a passionate and rigorous teacher who is deeply committed to the intellectual development of his students. His ability to make complex concepts accessible, while maintaining stringent requirements, is often cited as one of his key qualities.
Over the years, Guy Paré has relied on a wide range of teaching approaches.
