HEC Montréal’s 2024 Centraide campaign surpasses its goal
December 19, 2024
The Centraide campaign, which ran from November 18 to 29, 2024 at HEC Montréal, raised $213,558.02, an amount that is well beyond the initial goal of $185,000.
This annual event at the School aims to support Centraide’s mission by helping thousands of people in Greater Montréal. The Co-Chairs of this 2024 campaign were Joanne Diwan, Administrative Director of Student Life, Scholarships and Financial Aid, and Claude Laurin, Professor in the Department of Accounting Sciences, and Accreditations, Rankings and Program Evaluation Director.
“Once again, this year, the HEC Montréal community has lived up to its reputation for solidarity, despite a challenging economic environment. Thanks to all those who have rallied behind this cause that we hold dear!”
“What a wonderful way to end 2024! And what a great pleasure to collaborate with so many extraordinary people and to forge new friendships! Our amazing team of volunteers has helped create an exceptional synergy with the magnificent and generous HEC Montréal community for the benefit of this great cause that is Centraide.”
This year, donations were received from 274 members of the School community, including active and retired staff members, as well as students. Many of these donors – 64 in total – joined the Leaders’ Circle after having pledged over $1,200 per year.
Funds were also raised through participation in fundraising activities such as the traditional spaghetti lunch, the event on December 4 event and yoga sessions. “Street musicians” were present once again in the School buildings to brighten up the atmosphere and contribute, through the sums received, to the resounding success of this 2024 campaign.
