HEC Montréal performs well at a competition in the Netherlands

A team from the School’s Bachelor of Business Administration program took 3rd place at the Rotterdam/Carleton International Case Competition which was held in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) on November 22 this year.

The members of the School’s award-winning team are:

• Sacha Kalogerakis-Larue
• Catherine Laberge
• Vincent Ledoux
• Alicia Ponce

Thanks to the excellent guidance provided by Céline Gemmel, Faculty Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, the HEC Montréal delegation was ranked among the six best teams at the end of the first three rounds, before ending the week behind the teams from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (1st place) and Babes-Bolyai University (2nd place).

The 5^th edition of this international competition, which was co-organized by Rotterdam University (The Netherlands) and Carleton University (Canada), brought together 16 undergraduate-level university teams from 10 different countries. The four rounds of competition presented real cases, with challenges that required ethical, sustainable and innovative solutions.
