HEC Montréal reaches new highs in the global Top 50 of the Case Centre Impact Index

After making a successful entry into the Top 50 of the Case Centre Impact Index last year, HEC Montréal shot up 14 positions to reach 32nd place this year. The School remains the only French-language university institution in Canada to be included in this list.
The Case Centre Impact Index which was launched in 2023 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Case Centre, measures the global reach and impact of case studies produced by university institutions.
Physically based at Cranfield University (UK) and comprising over 500 member organizations, the Case Centre independently distributes the world’s largest collection of cases, of which 181 are from the School.

The Case Study Method as a Pillar of Pedagogical Innovation
For over 40 years, HEC Montréal has placed the case study method at the heart of its teaching practices, implementing it in nearly all management-related disciplines.
Since the creation of the HEC Montréal Case Centre in 1999, this commitment has only grown stronger: The centre plays a key role in promoting the use of the case study method as a teaching and research tool for faculty members and researchers from French-language educational institutions.
Today, the School relies on an extensive network of around 1,260 authors of case studies from 6 continents. With over 1,800 published cases that are used by 620 institutions worldwide, HEC Montréal continues to enrich the teaching resources that are shaping future leaders and management practitioners.
