Yet another accolade for PhD student Dania Kyle
Winner of the AVENIR Personality – Perseverant award
October 10, 2024
After having received the Lieutenant Governor’s Youth Medal in April 2024, PhD student Dania Kyle distinguished herself once again by winning the AVENIR Personality – Perseverant award at the 2024 Forces AVENIR Gala.
She was selected not only for her sustained involvement in combating domestic violence against women and children, something which she herself has experienced, but also for her academic excellence. In addition to participating in over 20 news reports and television broadcasts, she has published several articles and lectured widely, always encouraging victims to continue their studies and remain hopeful for the future.
This student of marketing research has earned a CGPA of 4/4.3 for her PhD and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honour Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society. She is also the recipient of several other honours, including a Best Master’s Award and four excellence scholarships from the Arbour Foundation. As an ambassador of this Foundation, she will create and host interactive workshops starting in the winter 2025 term to help students write their applications for scholarships and prepare them for interviews with large committees.
In addition to her teaching and research ambitions, she also wishes to publish an autobiographical graphic novel for young people to raise awareness about taboo subjects, while giving them hope.
