Yves Leduc appointed Adjunct Professor

Yves Leduc, a partner at Idealist Capital and former CEO of Velan inc. (TSX:VLN) has been appointed Adjunct Professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal. With over 25 years of experience in strategic, operational and manufacturing roles, as well as in the development and marketing of new products, he will now participate in the teaching, research and outreach activities of this entity of the School.

Yves Leduc, a partner at Idealist Capital since its creation in 2022 – a firm that invests exclusively in the areas of sustainable development and decarbonization – was President and CEO of Velan inc. from 2015 to 2022. As the first non-family member to lead it in its 70-year history, he incidentally carried out a transformation plan in response to a major industry recession and during the global pandemic.

Before joining this multinational, he was a lawyer at Stikeman Elliott LLP, partner, and management consultant at McKinsey & Company, in addition to holding several senior management positions at BRP Inc. and Bombardier for 16 years. He holds an LLB and an LLM and is a member of the Board of Directors of TC Transcontinental, Velan inc., XNRGY and Orford Musique.
