HEC Montréal strengthens its positioning in sustainable transition
Committed to doing more to sustainably manage a world in transition
January 23, 2025
HEC Montréal has unveiled its new positioning regarding sustainable transition. The statement, Committed to doing more to sustainably manage a world in transition has been designed to be in harmony with the School’s signature: HEC Montréal. Where opportunities are created.
Through such a positioning, the School acknowledges the complexity of this major social issue, but it pledges to evolve continuously and support managers and organizations in making the transition to a more sustainable economy.
It also aims to promote its actions and expertise in sustainable and responsible management, while realigning its messages on all its communication channels.
“Sustainable transition is one of the greatest challenges of our century. As a higher education institution, it is becoming crucial to position ourselves, in order to put forth our commitment and objectives in a consistent manner. And this means taking a stand in all our spheres of activity, be it for training, research and knowledge transfer, providing support for organizations, civic education or for our own practices as an organization committed to doing more for sustainable management.”
This commitment to do more has an impact on four main areas:
- Training responsible leaders;
- Creating innovative knowledge in sustainability and ethics;
- Supporting organizations in their transition towards sustainable management;
- Adopting and promoting sustainable practices.
