HEC Montréal wins world’s largest MBA case competition

January 17, 2025

A team of MBA students comprising Mildred Bolanos-Lopez, Antoine Delage-Laurin, Rayane El-Hraiki, Daniel Lone and Valeriya Patrei, was crowned champion of the 43rd John Molson MBA International Case Competition.

After undergoing intensive training on weekends from September 2024 onwards, the HEC Montréal delegation, coached by Nimara Asbah (MBA 2023), a program analyst for Laboratoires Canada, first made its presence felt by solving five cases. Our School team easily made it to the semi-finals, and went on to become one of the top three teams in the finals, which it won with one last case on the theme of sustainable logistics. More than 150 people from 30 business schools worldwide took part in this major competition.

The School’s University Competitions Service would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of this student delegation, as well as the HEC Montréal Alumni Association for its financial support.
