March 12, 2025
MBA students Mildred Bolanos-Lopez, Antoine Delage-Laurin, Daniel Lone and Mohamed Traoré won 3rd place in the annual MBA Diversity and Inclusion Case Challenge, organized by the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.
Fifteen teams participated in this 9th edition under the following theme: “How can Canadian agriculture overcome the acute challenge of labour shortage by becoming a more inclusive industry?” The HEC Montréal team proposed a solution based on four pillars:
- Share stories of women, people from the Afro-descendant community and First Nations to change the perception of agriculture.
- Continue investing in agricultural technologies and automation to alleviate the labour shortage.
- Build on existing partnerships and connect various stakeholders in the ecosystem to facilitate access to the necessary funding for the next generation.
- Develop the regulatory framework to make agriculture more accessible.
The School’s University Competitions Service would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of this student delegation, as well as the HEC Montréal Alumni Association for its financial support.
