Podium finish in two international case competitions

Student delegations from the School’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program excelled in two international case competitions.
2nd in Florida
First, Noah Charron, Gabriel Hardy-Joseph, Guillaume Payette and Alicia Ponce won 2nd place in the Heavener International Case Competition (HICC). This event, comprising 16 teams, took place in the Heavener School of Business, University of Florida from February 9 to 15, 2025.
During the 28-hour case that determined the final ranking, the HEC Montréal team proposed two innovative solutions to enable Intermex to better balance its digital bank transactions versus those in branches. The team, which was coached by Jean-François St-Pierre, Administrative Director, University Competitions Service (UCS), developed a clear transactional path for the integration of Intermex technology in partnership with technological financial institutions whose clientele is predominantly Latin American.

3rd in Norway
The delegation composed of Anne-Sophie April, Stanley Doucouré, Lalie Duhoux and Marième Sall won 3rd place in the BI International Case Competition, organized by the BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo from February 8 to 14, 2025.
Twelve of the best business schools in the world were invited to this competition, and the group of students from HEC Montréal, which was coached by Anne Bourhis, Professor and Academic Director, UCS, performed very well during the second case lasting 30 hours. It presented Equinor with a cutting-edge business model for storing energy over the long-term for the benefit of its customers, with an emphasis on technological adaptation to the realities of each targeted country.
