The summit, which features academic research presentations, gives junior faculty members and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to share their research with peers, receive feedback from seasoned faculty members, and develop meaningful relationships with colleagues outside of their home schools. This year’s summit showcased research on a wide variety of topics, including how software complements financial planners’ skill sets, how managers use and perceive performance measures and budgets, and how the founders of a craft brewery become victims of their own success by selling out to a major industry player. Close to 40 professors, post-doctoral researchers, and PhD students, representing eight Canadian universities (HEC Montréal, Concordia, UQÀM, McGill, Dalhousie, Wilfrid Laurier, and UQTR) attended the event. Planning for the 3rd edition, to be held in 2025 at one of our Montreal universities, is underway. |
