Finalize your admission

 

You received an email announcing that you have been selected for the international exchange program. Follow the 4-step process to retrieve your letter of admission and provide us with the required information and documents.

Step 1. Log in to HEC en ligne.

  • Go to HEC en ligne.
  • You will be prompted to enter the HEC Montréal email address you were provided, as well as your temporary password (your date of birth in the format YYMMDD).
  • The first time you log in, you will need to create a new 8-character password comprising a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character.

Step 2. Retrieve your letter of admission.

  • In HEC en ligne, select “Admission.”
  • Click the link “See your decision letter.”
  • Download the admission letter.

Step 3. Upload the required documents.

  • A copy of your valid passport
  • Your birth certificate written in French or in English or translated into one of these two languages by an official translator. This document must contain the following information:
    - Your last name
    - Your first and middle names
    - Your sex or gender
    - Your date of birth
    - Your place of birth (city and country)
    - The last names (at birth) and first names of your parents

  • Log in to HEC en ligne.
  • Select the “Documents” section.
  • In the “Student file” section:
  1. Under “Career,” select “Visiting Students.”
  2. Under “Attachment Type,” select “Passport,” then click “Add Attachment.”
  3. In the “File Attachment” window, click “Choisir un fichier” (Choose a file).
  4. Select the copy of your passport, then click “Upload.”
  5. Next, click “Submit. Repeat these steps to upload your birth certificate.

Important If you have technical problems, the first thing you should do is try changing internet browsers.

Step 4. Complete the “Exchange Student Application” and provide your emergency contact details.

You must submit the “Exchange Student Application” and “Emergency Contact Details” forms before the deadlines mentioned below, failing which, you will not be able to register officially for courses.

  • Fall: before May 1
  • Winter: before October 1

ImportantYou must provide the contact information of a person to contact in case of an emergency (first name, last name, and phone number).

“Exchange Student Application”

  • The form is under the “Exchange Student” section.
  • Once you click “Submit,” you can safely assume we have received your Exchange Student Application.
  • You can return to view or modify information on the form after submitting it.
  • If the application is incomplete, you will be notified by email.

“Emergency Contact” form

  • The form is located in the “Profile” section, under “Emergency Contacts” and “Add Contact”
