Restoring your temporary resident status

If your study permit expires before you apply for an extension, you will not be allowed to continue studying.

  • Apply to restore your temporary resident status within 90 days of the expiration date on your permit.
  • Simply applying to restore your status will not grant you the right to study in the current term. To study in the forthcoming term, you will need to be in possession of the new study permit prior to the deadline specified in the academic calendar.
